TRUST & SAFETY

Clear roles. Safer marketplace habits.

Arctic Plate provides marketplace infrastructure for local food sellers and customers. Trust depends on accurate seller information, secure ordering, clear fulfillment expectations, and each participant following the rules that apply to them.

Seller review before public listing

Arctic Plate reviews seller applications and marketplace readiness before a storefront is listed. This is not a government inspection, license, or legal certification.

Secure marketplace checkout

Marketplace payments are handled through Arctic Plate’s payment infrastructure and payment provider. Keep marketplace orders and payment activity on the platform.

Accurate storefront information

Sellers are expected to keep menus, prices, availability, fulfillment information, business information, and photos reasonably current.

Clear fulfillment responsibilities

Pickup, seller delivery, and Arctic Plate delivery are distinct fulfillment methods. Availability and responsibility depend on the option selected for the order.

Refund review

Cancellation and refund requests can require seller information and administrator review. Money is not moved based only on a customer or seller claim.

Respectful community

Harassment, discrimination, scams, misleading listings, unsafe conduct, or attempts to misuse the marketplace are not acceptable.

FOOD SAFETY & LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY

Sellers remain responsible.

Arctic Plate does not guarantee that a seller’s food is legal to sell. Sellers are responsible for applicable Alaska rules, local requirements, licensing, labeling, allergen disclosure, product eligibility, and approved food sources.
